Ian is Coordinating Editor with Ethos, and a Baptist Minister, currently serving as an interim pastor in Sydney. He was Assistant Director of Ethos (2010-2015), then Academic Registrar and lecturer in ethics at Morling College, pastor of Margaret River Baptist Church, and lecturer and Dean of students at Melbourne School of Theology.
He completed his his BA (Hons) in politics, philosophy and sociology at Murdoch University, studied theology at The Baptist College of WA (now Vose Seminary), and his undertook his MDiv at Ridley College and Morling College. He is currently pursuing doctoral research on vocation in ethics and public theology.
He has lectured at several colleges in theology and ethics and their interface with other disciplines. This flows from his conviction that there is no sphere of life excluded from the call to follow Jesus Christ. He served on the Social Issues Committee for the Baptist Union of NSW & ACT and has served on the executive committee for the Anabaptist Association of Australia and New Zealand.
